At the moment, I am wading the murky depths of the digital deep-end of my music archive. For the few of you who follow the musical output, you might be surprised that there’s a whole album of stuff that’s never formally seen the light of day other than a limited free release on something called Jamendo back when it was initially done.

The year was 2002 and I don’t remember the exact beginnings, I found myself recording music with someone other than myself. The project was entitled LOAD taken from our initials and the collection was entitled “If We Live Here, We’d Be Home Now”. As some of the songs were co-writes, I’ve never released them properly because how do you divvy up the micro-pennies earn from four plays on Tidal? I don’t know. It always seemed an impossible prospect and I didn’t want to be seen to be dealing my other half unfairly.

But here I am going through the tracks, revisiting a past that seems like several lifetimes away, trying to use my subsequent twenty-odd years of recording experience to make these bits and bobs more presentable.

Every so often, I’ve thought to myself, maybe I should do something with those tracks I recorded as LOAD? Well here I am remixing them…

Heigh ho!
