This documentary charts the making of the seminal “Wish You Were Here” album. This was also broadcast recently on BBC4 in the UK, but this version, which is available as a DVD or Blu-ray, boasts an extra 25 minutes worth of footage.

Shame they didn’t see fit to include this in the recent “Wish You Were Here” Immersion box set, isn’t it?

It seems such a long time ago when I sold all my computer games in order to fund the purchase of this particular box set. I was impressed when I got it and I am still impressed to day. It oozes class and quality and is exquisitely designed.

Prog Review 24: Wish You Were Here Immersion Box Set – Pink Floyd

And so my beady eye falls over the new Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here set. While the content makes interesting listening, the price of the set and the inclusion of many re-used photographs in one of the booklets means that my final rating can be viewed as harsh. However, this rating is based on “value for money” more than anything else.
