This time around I thought I’d show you the 40th Anniversary box set from Queen, but don’t get too excited – it is just a big box to hold all of the 2011 remastered studio albums.

So today is the Diamon Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II and to celebrate her ascension to the throne, I thought I’d get my crown jewels out for everyone to have a look at. No, not those crown jewels – “The Crown Jewels” box set from Queen to celebrate their 25th anniversary in the MusicBizTM.

I did this earlier in the year and forgot it was on my hard drive. Again, every so often I record a cover of a song that I like – who knows, perhaps there will be Bad Cover Version, Vol 2? Anyhoo, this is a track from “A Night at the Opera” and one of my faves. Funny for someone who cannot drive or who has no interest in cars, but I think I like it because it sums up that passion people have for their interests. The same passion can be transferred to sport, movies or music or what-not.

With this track, I found a MIDI of the original and just kept the drums and recorded all the guitars and bass over the top of those guide drums.
