This is a short composition based on a riff I improvised around at the beginning of the month. It’s a bit of a rag-tag song, but there’s something in there worth keeping.

So here I am up to my nuts in Rush as I plough my way through three neat little boxsets containing many of the Canadian proggers most popular albums.
Christmas has been cancelled this year and instead has been replaced by “Progmas”. Father Progmas (or Santa Chords) is introducing the new advent calendar now. You just visit the video on YouTube and click the respective window for each day of advent, each window opening to reveal a tasty prog-rock related festive video clip.

The new album is called “Steady State of Flux” which is a contradiction in itself and I managed to take the picture of the dandelion the other day whilst in the garden. It seemed to illustrate my point, something that is delicate but in a state of immediate flux.
