With all the talk of the new David Bowie album coming out, I thought I’d take a look at one of the Thin White Duke’s albums that touches the world of prog: the concept album “1. Outside”.

And so ambient pioneer Brian Eno has released another ambient classic in the same vein as “Music for Airports” and “Discreet Music”. Here’s my thoughts on the album and I give my own simplified demonstration of generative music.

Before I got into King Crimson, I discovered this album after immersing myself heavily with Peter Gabriel 2. It is an album that had a profound effect on me and is responsible for me playing the guitar.

In this video, I look at the many variants I have of this album as well as give my incredibly biased opinion of it. Enjoy!
